Publish your book in English on Amazon US
Amazon's Kindle Translate is free — but it does not support Japanese or Korean, in either direction. It pairs English only with Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese. If you write in Japanese or Korean, the free option simply is not available to you.
Fewer than 5% of books on Amazon.com are readable in more than one language
That is Amazon's own figure, and it is the whole opportunity. The English-language Kindle market is the largest in the world, and the shelf you would be joining is far emptier than the one you are on now. Your book has already proven it can find readers. The question is only whether English-speaking ones can read it.
Why Kindle Translate can't help you
Amazon's tool is an invite-only beta covering English paired with five European languages. Japanese and Korean are not among them — not as a source language, and not as a target. It also requires the book to already be for sale on KDP, which rules out anyone translating before launch. We work from your files instead: upload a manuscript, get publish-ready English back.

Questions
Can Kindle Translate do Japanese or Korean?
No. As of now Kindle Translate supports translations between English and Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese only. Japanese and Korean are unsupported in both directions.
Do I need to publish on Amazon first?
No. Unlike Kindle Translate, we work from your manuscript file, so you can translate before you launch, or publish somewhere other than Amazon.
How do I judge the English quality if English isn't my first language?
That is the honest difficulty, and it is why the first 1,000 words are free. Translate a sample, then show it to any English-speaking reader you trust before you spend anything. We would rather you check than take our word for it.
Will my listing be in English too?
Yes. A translated book with a Japanese listing does not sell to American readers, because they search in English. The listing guide and A+ content guide are included in every translation.
